OUR VISION
Global Leadership Training is an international outreach ministry of Pastor Gregg Johnson and The Mission Church focusing onthe development of evangelical churches and training of indigenous pastors in developing nations.
 
Our primary means of accomplishing this is by providing dynamic and practical leadership conferences. Rather then centering on hype, emotion and temporary excitement, these conferences specialize in practical leadership principles and church management techniques to equip pastors for effective ministry. Special resources and publications are provided to conference delegates to enhance learning and serve as future reference material.
 
Global Leadership Training also publishes Leadership Teaching Magazine, a quarterly 24 page magazine that is offered to pastors and church leaders around the world. This publication provides an in-depth approach toward leadership issues, doctrinal studies, family health and personal spiritual growth.

All over the world Christianity is growing at a stunning rate. In Africa, for example, about 23,000 receive Christ per day and by the year 2025, Africa’s Christian population will have increased by 200 million. On the surface, it sounds exciting. However, a closer look reveals a serious concern of the developing church that must be addressed.

A recent World magazine article, Words and Deeds by Van Kornegay in Malawi, quoted church leaders as saying that Africa's greatest need is discipleship. "The church has done a good job of evangelizing but a poor job of discipling. Christianity here is a mile wide and an inch deep." People are being saved daily and as a result, many new converts have started churches or assumed leadership positions in existing ones. Unfortunately, most of these young upstarts have no formal Bible training, no access to study material, and only a few books. Many do not even own a full Bible.

If these church leaders are not properly trained, they may actually do more harm to the cause of Christ than good. In some cases, what leaders are teaching as “Christianity” is a blending of the Bible with Islam, Hinduism or indigenous tribal religions. Christ is professed on Sunday, but when the everyday struggles of life arise (illness, death, drought), many still turn to false religions for hope. Perhaps the most tragic example of this occurred during the Rwandan genocide of 1994. Over 800,000 people were murdered in a country that claimed to be 90 percent Christian. Tragically, many were betrayed or killed by “Christians” and church leaders in their own communities. It is a tragic example of church leadership that was poorly developed and lacked the capacity to train it’s own followers.

These are serious issues that require a serious response—and with God’s help, Global Leadership Training is rising to the challenge. But we need your help! We are looking for ministers and church leaders who can assist us in training these leaders. If you are a pastor, elder, evangelist or missionary who has a burden for leadership training and the Great Commission but whose call prevents long term missionary commitment, then a short-term partnership with Global Leadership Training may be exactly what you’re looking for.

Our vision is to provide international leadership conferences to church leaders around the world specializing in practical leadership principles and church management techniques. Our goal is not to hold massive crusades with a lot of hype and temporary excitement. To the contrary, our conferences offer proven principles of church leadership and character development to produce strong, Christ centered leaders and healthy churches.
