All church, civic and corporate leaders are invited to join us for our 4th East Africa Global Leadership Conference in Nairobi, Kenay in November, 2010. The theme for the event is "How The Mighty Have Fallen" and will feature topics from Pastor Gregg's soon to be released book of the same title. A free copy of the book will be provided to all who pre-register along with a conference manual.
The emphasis of this conference is as follows: “Before God enlarges your ministry or increases your anointing, He must first enlarge your character to support it."
A leader’s character is like the foundation of a building. If it is not strong, deep, and firmly fixed in place, the man’s life and all he has built will eventually fall. It does not matter how anointed he is, how attractive his ministry or powerful his gifts, without character, all threatens to collapse.
In fact, leadership will destroy the man whose character has not been prepared for it; for, with higher levels come higher devils. Advancement, enlargement and promotion in the Kingdom of God brings fiercer temptations, harsher attacks and greater opportunities for destruction. This means that before God takes us higher by elevating our position or increasing our anointing, He needs to deepen our foundation. Sadly, too many have been promoted before their character was enlarged to support that promotion and as a result, they became top heavy and fell.
That’s what this conference is about. Rather than focusing on emotion, hype, sensationalism or temporary excitement, our focus is upon character, integrity and principle—the essentials that make a truly great leader. Indeed, Charisma may take a man to the top, but only character will keep him there. My prayer is that you will make character a priority by making every effort to attend. Allow God to use this conference to deepen your character to prepare you for the enlargement of ministry and increase of anointing He has appointed for your life.
