On August 10-13, 2009 Global Leadership Training conducted it 2^nd More Than Conquerors Leadership Conference in Kigali, Rwanda. The event carried the theme “The Character of Leadership” and was organized by GLT Rwanda Coordinator Rev. Jean Gatabazi, General Superintendent of the Rwanda Assemblies of God and his wife Christine. The event was held at Rev. Gatabazi’s church, The Global Mission Church and was attended by 300 church leaders.

The More Than Conquerors Conference is being hailed as a great success by all who attended for its relevance on the important issues of leadership.  Some of the topics included: Recognizing and Resisting Corruption in Leadership, Leading with Integrity, Walking in Humility, Servant Leadership, Financial Integrity, Sexual Integrity in Leadership, Leading from The Second Chair, The Power of a Healthy Marriage, and much more.

In addition to Pastor Gregg’s teachings, this conference featured other speakers including Rev. Charles Mulema (Founder and Senior Pastor of Nairobi Gospel Centre International), Rev. Daniel Saglimbeni (former AG/NYD Pastor and missionary to Rwanda), Elder Avi Adwalpalker (Elder, The Mission Church). The depth of experience represented by these leaders made this conference a life-changing, empowering event for all who attended.

A highlight of the conference was a special evening cocktail hosted by the Mayor of Kigali, Aisa Kirabo Kacyira. Approximately 100 civic and political leaders attended to hear a lecture by Pastor Gregg Johnson on “Integrity in Leadership” and sample his book, The Character of Leadership.  In addition to presenting a talk on corruption in leadership, Pastor Gregg also presented the gospel and invited people to accept Christ. Approximately six community leaders were saved including one member of Rwanda’s Parliament.
