ACCRA, GHANA - JULY 2009

5TH WEST AFRICA LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

 

On July 28-31, 2009 Global Leadership Training conducted it 5th More Than Conquerors Leadership Conference in Ghana, West Africa. The event carried the theme “Resisting Corruption in Leadership.” Organized by GLT West Africa Coordinator Rev. Stephen Wengam and held at Full Gospel Church International, Tema Community One, the conference was attended by 800 church, civic and corporate leaders and is being hailed as an overwhelming success.

 

The highlight of the conference was the attendance of Ghana’s Vice President, His Excellence John Dramani Mahama as well as other government officials and civic authorities. Pastor Gregg Johnson presented the vice president with the “Global Leadership Excellence Award” for his example of integrity and excellence as a national leader. He was also presented with several books authored by Pastor Gregg and 300 copies of Leadership Teaching Magazine to be distributed to members of parliament. Concerning Global Leadership Training, Vice President Mahama remarked, “The course contents of Global Leadership Training is very deep and relevant. As usual, this event was not just another hyped-up, emotional meeting without substance; this is a conference had deep relevance to leaders from all theatres of leadership. Some of the topics included: Recognizing and Resisting Corruption in Leadership, Leading from The Second Chair, The Power of a Healthy Marriage, From Good to Great: How God Makes Good Leaders into Great Ones, Making Good Decisions and Discerning God’s Will, Attitudes That Increase Your Altitude, Building a Winning Team, and much more.

 

In addition to Pastor Gregg’s teachings, this conference featured other speakers including Apostle Dr. Opoku Nyinah - Chairman, The Church of Pentecost, Rev. Dr. Fred Kyereko - Principal, Southern Ghana Bible College A/G, Rev. Mrs. Suzzy Lamptey - Marriage Counselor, Pastor Godwin Ahlijah - Executive Director, Meaningful Life International, and others. The depth of experience represented by these leaders made this conference a life-changing, empowering event for all who attended.
